Besom Heath Eradication Project

Using funding from the State Government's Weed Action Fund, Tamar NRM successfully ran a three-year project tackling Besom Heath, an invasive special with a relatively small population in the West Tamar.

The BIG Plant

The City of Launceston engaged Tamar NRM to plant the trees at the Launceston Waste Centre revegetation site.  The goal was 5,000 trees in 4 days. The countdown began on Thursday, 28 July 2022. This event invited the whole community to help plant the trees.

Queen's Platinum Jubilee Fund

In 2023, community-based tree planting events will be held across Australia to mark the Jubilee (70 years of service) of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Tamar Valley Leaders Lunch

From 2021 to 2024, Tamar NRM hosted a series of lunches where leaders in their field spoke on challenges, opportunities and impacts as Tasmania moves toward sustainability.

Through 2022, a diverse range of workshops, field trips and activities are on offer for local community members.
