About the event

University of Tasmania’s Inveresk Community Garden has over 650m2 of raised beds, making it Australia’s largest open community garden, and probably the only one in the world with a tram that runs through it!

Our sessions run organically in response to the seasons and what jobs we have on hand. No session is the same, with activities ranging from propagating, planting, harvesting, cooking, stocking our seed library, chatting about gardening, exploring the science of gardening and ecology, promoting food gardens, and just generally enjoying each other’s company.

No need to bring anything except some closed shoes and appropriate clothing. Come for as long or as little as you want. For more details contact jeff.mcclintock@utas.edu.au
