About the event

Once again, the Friends of Riverside Landcare group are holding planting days for National Tree Day in Riverside. The planting site will be the urban waterway at the Ecclestone and New Ecclestone Roads. Keep an eye out for wayfinding signage! All tools and equipment will be supplied by Tamar NRM, with plants kindly donated by the West Tamar Council, Tamar NRM and community members.

The activity aims to restore a variety of native flora to an waterway in an increasingly urban setting. The planting also increases connectivity across Riverside, with the site linking to previously revegetated urban green spaces further downstream. This is great for both waterway health, and Tasmanian biodiversity! It's also a great way to feel connected to your local community, meet some people, and get a dose of vitamin green.

On the day, please bring your own drinking water and appropriate clothing for the weather!
