Showcase of community coastal works from Greens Beach to Bellingham.
Free BBQ – New volunteers welcome.
The George Town Coastal Management Group are holding an event to help recognise the valuable contribution the coastal communities continue to make in the George Town Council and Greens Beach Area.
The day will start at Low Head at 9.00 am and end at Weymouth around 3.00 pm, with a BBQ lunch (provided).

Guest Speaker: Dr. Vishnu Prahalad is a researcher and lecturer at the Discipline of Geography and Spatial Sciences, University of Tasmania. He has worked on saltmarsh ecology and management in Tasmania for over ten years, closely collaborating with a range of government and non-government agencies and local groups. Vishnu’s publications include ‘a field guide to the plants of Tasmanian saltmarsh wetlands’, atlases for saltmarshes for all three regions of Tasmania and the ‘saltmarsh matters’ citizen science app and several other science communication materials.
