BENEFITS OF BIOCHAR, DUNG BEETLES AND EARTHWORMS IN SOILS

Workshop/Field Day on 20th July at Tresca Community Centre, and School Farm, Exeter, with agronomist and Author Dr. Graeme Stevenson, Dr. Stevenson is the former senior research officer with the Tasmanian Agricultural Department.

A practical biochar making session will follow with the owner of Terra-Preta Developments and biochar producer Mr. Frank Strie, discussing biochar benefits in utilising various materials to improve soil fertility and reduce the risk of waste into the environment.

Run under the banner of Backyard to Broadacres, the topic will interest large and medium sized farming operations through to smaller life stylers, horticulturists and gardeners.
